What type of plants should I use to establish constructed wetlands?

A list of recommended sepcies is in the table below. Plant choice depends on a variety of factors:

  • the contaminants that needs to be removed
  • if specific cultivars are better adapted / have shown greater capacity for contaminant removal
  • relative invasive-potential of the aquatic (wetland) plant.
